Dustin Halse announced that Chin Community Victoria Inc has received a $15,000 grant under the Multicultural Communications Outreach Program.

Grants of between $5,000 and $100,000 were available to support multicultural communities to produce and
distribute content that provides information about the COVID-19 vaccination program and encourages COVIDSafe behaviour.

The Multicultural Communications Outreach Program (MCOP) funds multicultural media, community members and organisations to produce informative, engaging content that provides information about the COVID-19 vaccination program and encourages COVIDSafe behaviour.

The program will support the production and distribution of content by multicultural communities, for multicultural communities. Content should be guided by culturally and linguistically diverse community members telling their own stories.

Quote attributable to Dustin Halse:

“Right now, a sense of connection to community, culture and the ability to access information in one’s own language is vital. I thank the Chin Community Victoria Inc for their work in supporting the Victorian COVID-19 vaccination program and COVIDSafe behaviours in our community.”
